We look to have our final phase of the new hardware upgrade and
implementation complete by the end of next week.

This means that this weekend will most likely have the same issues as
past weekends.  This includes slower downloads, slow loading pages,
and connection issues during peak times.  Although things have been
much more stable over recent weeks, we cannot guarantee a flawless
experience just yet.

Once this implementation is complete, our admins can continue to
devote more time to the ongoing open issues (slow loading indexes
affecting certain groups, the recurring thumbnail issues and the
sporadic NNTP disconnects that affect a small portion of customers).
We will also be able to revisit the issue of getting the new indexes
to have a preference setting to look and behave like the old indexes.

As announced earlier today, the old indexes are updating again.  By
now, most groups should have been indexed and will continue to do so.
