System Status Update 05/06/2009 Uncle JesseWed, 06 May 2009 16:52:48 -0700
Our admins are investigating the various examples of
incompletes/missing files on the web. They are determining the cause
and are looking at a few in particular (i.e. yEncoded corruption on
certain parts, certain files not making it to the feeders, etc). As
soon as more is known, we'll post more information.

We are still seeing a few complaints regarding NNTP speeds, we are
looking into it on individual basis as speeds/performance across the
board appear to be ok from our end.

The next phase of hardware implementation is being prepped. More on
this as it becomes avaialble.

We are also investigating the complaints of certain groups loading
very slowly or loading slowly when going from page to page on the web.
We investigating some web servers to see if the root is an overloaded
server.

The autounrar backlog is decreasing. It ws at ~89K files this morning
and is down to ~53K as I type this. A good number of these files are
the 2GB+ sized files from the previous backlog that we reintroduced.
We are autounraring files in random order so new and old files will be
appearing side by side. The number of autounrars present when doing
a search is growing.
